Susan A. Sciamanna White-Scalia, of Haddon Township, New Jersey, tragically passed away on April 1, 2026.
Sue was born in Camden to her parents, Anthony and Rose (née Arcari). Susan remained in the area and grew up alongside her sister, Nancy Craig, and her late brother, Anthony Sciamanna. She was accomplished in her career with Boeing, where she worked for 25 years, and earned her master’s degree during her tenure. One of her greatest accomplishments in life, however, was her dearly departed son, Jacob White.
Susan was a sparkling, energetic presence—always on the go— and had a way of bringing warmth and energy wherever she went. Sue was smart, warm, and thoughtful. She always made an effort with both her family and her friends. She worked on improving herself day by day and enriched the lives of others with her time and her involvement. Sue volunteered at Cathedral Kitchen in Camden, was a longtime and active member of Mothers of Adult Children, enjoyed her Bunco group, and was a proud member of her Queen B’s.
Sue is survived and will be deeply missed by her loving husband, William Scalia, whom she married surrounded by loved ones in 2021. After meeting Bill in 2016, she had no reservations about joining their two families together and supporting Bill and his children in every possible way. Susan’s greatest passions were her child, Jacob, and her stepchildren, Samantha, Ellianna, and Ethan Scalia. Susan and Bill experienced an unimaginable loss in 2024 with the passing of their beloved Jake. Despite the unthinkable, Susan always maintained a positive outlook on life that brought joy and hope to everyone around her.
Susan is also survived and will be deeply missed by her dear sister, Nancy Craig; father- and mother-in-law, William and Janet Scalia; her brother-in-law, Brian Scalia, and his wife, Erin; her sister-in-law, Dawn, and her husband, Neil Hollans; as well as her many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends. At home, Sue also leaves behind her beloved fur babies, Luna, Nisha, and Stella.
Relatives, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and fellow volunteers are invited to gather with Sue’s family to take comfort in one another and in faith on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Holy Savior Church, 50 Emerald Avenue, Haddon Township, where a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m.
