Dolores Ann Bloom Bricker, 64, of Gloucester City, NJ, passed away under the care of her son and husband on April 27th, 2026. She sadly lost the battle with Stage 4 Lung Cancer after a very hard fight.
Living in Gloucester City all her life, she loved to crochet, art and crafts, photography, animals, nature, and jarring.
Ever since she was a young age, she had all kinds of pets. From cats to dogs, hamsters to guinea pigs, she loved all kinds of animals. She learned to crochet and cook from a very young age from her mother, Dolores, and continued to crochet til about 2 weeks before her passing. She also likes to cut out and paint wooden figures. She loved to take pictures of nature, family, and especially pets. She edited pictures with funny backgrounds and sayings; she had a great sense of humor. Even later on in life, she continued all these things, including picking up the hobby of jarring. She would grow tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers in her tiny garden for her recipes. More than anything, she was very kind and loved her family very deeply, even donating her kidney to her son, and was always willing to help someone in need. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.
Preceded before her were parents Edward and Dolores (nee Metzinger) Bloom, and brother Edward Bloom. Dolores leaves behind her husband Harry, her son Michael Kennedy, her sisters Robin Brangan (Al), Donna Bloom, Betty Lindsay (Rich), and her brother Daniel Bloom (Sabina). She is also survived by her granddaughter, Caitlin, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives, friends, neighbors, and friends are invited to gather with Dolores’ family. We’ll come together to take comfort in each other on Friday afternoon, between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm, at McGee Celebration Etherington Funeral Home, 700 Powell St., Gloucester, where a remembrance and memorial ceremony will be celebrated at 3:00 pm. A graveside tribute will be held privately at a later date at New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
