Disney World is a place where the magic is imagineered so parents, children… and grandchildren, could have fun - together. Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever.

Home is the starting place of love, hope and dreams. it’s where love resides, memories are created, friends always belong, and laughter never ends. Dusty’s home sat at the corner of hope and resilience. He was a good and faithful husband, a terrific father and an even better “Pop Pop”. He committed his time, his life and his heart to those around him. All with a good sense of humor. The only thing that mattered was time and effort.

The goal isn't to live forever. It's to create something that will. Heroes like Charles J. Bosch get remembered. But legends… like Dusty… never die!

After a difficult health journey, Dusty came back to that place of love, hope and dreams. After just a few days, he fell asleep into goodnight. You know… that place between awake and asleep, where you can still remember dreaming?…. That’s where we’ll always love you and remain with us.

Dusty was born in Woodbury and spent his formative years in Haddon Heights. As a young man, just 17, he entered the volunteer fire service. Dusty began his career at Chews Landing Fire Dept., Station 82 and later moved to Blenheim Fire Co., Station 83. It was here through his dedicated volunteer time that he rose to the position of Chief before joining Glendora Fire Co. Station 81. After 43 years, Dusty concluded his active service in 2014.

Dusty made his career and spent his working years at Karcher and after retirement worked at Dodge & Mitsubishi. He filled his days with fun and adventure camping, visiting the most magical place on earth, Disney World, enjoying all the parks had to offer, especially Pirates of The Carribean, and bowling. Dusty met his loving and longtime wife because her bowling team needed a team mate. Turns out She was his lucky penny and he was her 4 leaf clover establishing their love and turning it into family and 47 beautiful years of marriage.

Dusty is survived by and will be deeply missed by his loving, faithful and doting wife, Patricia “Aunt Pat” (nee Redding). Daddy’s girl, Jen & her husband Bill Mayer. Dusty is the proud Pop Pop of Billy, III, Addison and Makenna. He leaves to cherish his memory, his sister Sandy & her husband Robert J. Pino, his nephew and niece Greg & Collen Carr and their children Charles & Alex Carr. He is also survived by his Buzz & his wife Joann.

Yo Ho, dead men tell no tales but we will celebrate a life of commitment, family, fun, heroism and bravery. Relatives, friends, neighbors and the fire service are invited to gather with Dusty’s family. We’ll come together to take comfort in each other in tribute and in thanksgiving on Thursday evening between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm at The Church of Saint John The Evangelist, 1730 Old Black Horse Pike, Blackwood, where a prayer service will conclude the evening at 7:00 pm.

A memorial ceremony will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday morning August 17th at Church, Pastor Rev. Canon Richard Wrede presiding. The time-honored tradition of reuniting those we love with nature will be held privately.
